The Hockey Show is playing Sherlock Holmes…a massive, world-wide search is on to track down some of the greatest players ever to play the game, to find out…that big question that Mel & Kochie were asking intermittently on the failed television show..“WHERE ARE THEY NOW?”
It strikes us, that there seems to be a fairly rapid drop-off of this calibre of former player soon after their careers are over.
THS poses the question: Why are these personalities not taken full advantage of to be the coaches and the faces of Hockey in this state, and around the country?
We are hell-bent on getting these important figures back to the game that made them household names…but to do this, we need to scout this super big round thing called Earth apparently.
To get the ball rolling, THS is asking for suggestions of people YOU want to hear from!

Choppy was seen recently on the Gold Coast working as a tow truck driver and cruising down to Labrador hockey club.
Grant Mitton is coaching Perth men’s first grade side Wasps, his sons play there as well.

Clare Mitchell-Taverner played a few games for Frankston ladies in SL3 last year.
Neil Snowden soon to appear for TEM when Dempster becomes injured.

Bumped into Paul Lewis a couple of years ago wandering the streets of the Melbourne. After finishing with the Aussie team, he had taken up law and was working at Mallesons. Not sure if he is still there.

Neil Snowden is playing Vets I believe, maybe with TEM?
Grant Mitton was working for Hockey WA, think he may have left recently though.
Nova Peris was involved with Anthony Mundine recently in some anti drugs campaigh I think.

Sprouley is coaching men’s first grade in Hobart for OHA and I think still lacing up the turf shoes too.
Todd Williams spotted recently sprouting some weird ideas about PC’s in the FHE newsletter.
Dreher is nursing his aching body back into shape to play his centenary year for the Tangerines, who will still promise much but ultimately disappoint in 2008.

todd williams now out of hockey, living in london,with partner jo and child connie, selling real estate in india out of dubai – but did play a game with Tas Uni vets over the summer when he came out to visit his mum.

Gavin Davis has been living and working in England for 4 years. He is a director of Pelham PR.
Up until last year he was playing English premier League hockey with Hampstead and Westminster Hockey Club, where Todd Williams was the coach and where many ex Australian hockey players have played.
He is now into road bike racing!Back for holiday at Christmas

Baeden Choppy presently resides on the Gold Coast again. Not presently active in Hockey. Did play for a period of time with Labrador hockey club. But trust me he is alive and well.
I believe Nova Perris, is presently working in and around Aussie, doing Inspirational Talks to the indigenous communities with Kyle VanderKyp and another relative of mine.
